UFO Camera privacy policy

UFO Camera is made by Joshua Tonga. This policy covers the iPhone app and this website. Contact hello@joshuatonga.com with privacy questions or requests.

Video processing stays on your device

The app processes videos, subject selections, tracking data, thumbnails, previews, and exports locally on your iPhone. We do not upload this footage or tracking data to our servers, and we do not operate an account or cloud gallery service.

Camera and microphone access let you record when you choose. The system photo picker lets you choose a video to import. Photo-library add permission lets you save an export. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Sharing is initiated by you and sends the exported file to the destination you choose; that destination’s privacy policy applies.

One recoverable edit

The app keeps one recoverable draft and your preferences in its local storage. Replacing or discarding a draft removes its app-owned working files. Original Photos assets and exports you have saved to Photos remain in your library. Removing the app removes its local application data. Apple device backups may include app data according to your iCloud and device settings.

Purchases

Apple processes payment for the optional lifetime Pro upgrade. We do not receive your payment card details. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore them, and determine whether Pro is active. It processes purchase history and transaction information, an anonymous app user identifier, and technical information needed to provide its service. We do not provide RevenueCat with your name or email through the app.

Purchase information supports app functionality, fraud prevention, and RevenueCat’s purchase reporting. The app uses no advertising identifiers, ad network, or cross-app advertising tracking. Read RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy for their practices.

Support and website hosting

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond and resolve the request; please avoid sending private footage unless it is necessary and you want to share it. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle support, follow-up, and legal obligations.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Standard request information, such as IP address, browser information, and requested pages, may be processed to deliver and secure the site. We have not added advertising, marketing analytics, tracking cookies, or an email collection form. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

Your choices and requests

You can discard the current edit, remove saved exports from Photos, manage app permissions, or uninstall the app. Contact us to request access to or deletion of support information we hold about you. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records for legal, accounting, security, and purchase-restoration purposes. The rights available to you depend on your location.

Children and changes

UFO Camera is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or profile. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. We may update this policy as the app changes and will update the date above.
